About Alyssa
Hey! I am the owner and creator behind Happy Hello KC!
Art and creativity has always been a part of me! Growing up, I either wanted to be a teacher or an art teacher. While I am technically neither of those things, I do teach part time (about healthy relationships and sex education) and am constantly making something. I love having a creative outlet and am always adding new items to my repertoire!
I have been married to my best friend, Austin, for over 13 years and we have 2 kids, Davis and Cora. I am so thankful for their love and support as I navigate my small business.
About Happy Hello KC
I started Happy Hello KC in Kansas City in 2021 as predominately home decor- yarn wall hangings, floral arrangements and wreaths. Then in 2023 I tried embroidery and cross stitch and fell in love! I quickly began stitching everything and everyone in sight! Next came the beads. I didn’t plan on these tiny cuties becoming as popular as they are, but they quickly became a fan favorite!
I create handmade gifts in Manhattan, KS: beaded flowers, cross-stitch portraits, floral arrangements, and wreaths. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted, and I especially love custom orders. Whether you’re shopping for a gift or something for yourself, I want to make it feel personal and perfectly you.

Being able to take your ideas and turn them into reality is my favorite part of creating! I want everything to be exactly what you have in mind! Trust me, the more details the better!
What questions do you have?
Turnaround time depends on what you are ordering!
- Beaded items, flower arrangements & wreaths: Most orders can be completed and ready to ship within 1-2 weeks. Shipping times will very depending on your location and the shipping method.
- Cross stitch illustrations: Most cross stitch orders take approximately 1-4 weeks to complete. Larger or more detailed custom pieces may take longer.
- Cross stitch family portraits: These tend to have a longer waitlist, especially leading up to Christmas. I often begin taking Christmas orders as early as August, so if you need your order by a specific date, please reach out and place your order as early as possible!
If you have a specific deadline in mind, feel free to mention it when submitting your custom order request, and I’ll let you know if I can accommodate it.
Of course! So many of my cross stitch family portraits have included dogs and cats of all varieties! I’d love to make yours next!
I predominately sell my items through my website and social media pages, @happyhellokc, but you can also find me in my local shopping mall!
I live in Manhattan, KS and sell my beaded items as well as some cross stitch illustrations in a shop called Which Craft Makers Market at Manhattan Town Center.
Right now, I accept cash, check, Venmo, and CashApp. I am working on adding additional payment options, so check back for updates!

I do! The shipping cost is determined by the size of packaging your order requires. For most of my items, shipping is less than $10.
Because custom orders are made specifically for you, custom orders are non-refundable and cannot be returned or exchanged once production has begun.
If there is a problem with your order when you receive it, please reach out and I’ll do my best to make it right!
